THE BOOKING PROCESS

How to Book

Simply contact us to check on availibility, then we will arrange an initial meet and greet session to check your dog (or dogs) will be happy to stay with us.

Small Dogs Only!

Little Paws Cottage is specifically for toy and small dog breeds for your peace of mind. If you aren't sure if your dog is a small one then contact us to check.

We are unable to accept unneutered male dogs older than 9 months old.

Initial Meet and Greet

A meet and greet is necessary to allow for your dog or dogs to check how happy they will be to stay in our home, and familiarise themselves with the environment and surroundings. It provides a chance as well for you to ask any questions you may have about the stay.

The meet and greet is an opportunity to meet our two resident dogs Bella and Flora - so they can start making friends. If you and your dogs are happy, we will then provide a booking form for you to take away and complete - this will mean we get all the information we need for the stay.

Trial Stay

Licensing regulations require that all new dogs have a one night trial stay first before you book, so we can make sure your dog will be happy to stay in our home.

It is really important to us that we ensure your dog will be able to settle in to their new environment, and introduce them to new people, dogs and surroundings.

This will enable you to understand how your dog gets on boarding with us, and we can update you throughout the stay, as well as feedback once you collect.

Normal charges apply, so £30 per dog for an overnight stay.

Owner's Booking Form

The form contains questions around your dog's feeding, normal exercise, typical commands and general well being. It is our priority to ensure we look after your dogs the same way you do, so it is as much a home from home as possible.

Up to Date Vaccinations

The terms of a home boarding license require up to date veterinary vaccination records to ensure your dogs have current vaccinations. These include DHPP, Lepto (2 or 4) and Kennel cough. Primary vaccination courses must be completed at least 2 weeks before boarding. Make sure you bring along an up to date vet card for us to see.

Deposit and Payment

A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The deposit is non-refundable/non-transferable. The remaining amount is then required at least 28 days before you are due to drop off your dog for the planned stay (or earlier if you would prefer).

If your dog is staying for the day or for one to two nights - we ask that the full amount is paid to secure the booking.
